Summer at the Gridhof
Summer is the busy time for us. Our A herd of suckler cows spends beautiful summer days on our alpine meadows below the Schmieder Alm. Our oxen and young cows spend a lovely alpine summer.
We check on our animals regularly to check their health, see if there are any offspring and feed them treats.
At the farm is the Hay work To do: We cut and dry the hay from our meadows three times, at the beginning of June, the end of July and the beginning of September, to bring it into the barn as winter feed.
Also our Cottage garden takes a lot of work now. Weeding, harvesting and cooking alternate.
And the care of our holiday guests, as well as the apartments and the outdoor area, is most intensive at this time of year.
However, Sundays are reserved for our children until 5 p.m. We enjoy the time with them without kindergarten and constant compulsory activities.
July and August: We go to our Alm to get to the Cowsn to see and barbecue onCampfire
